Job DescriptionAon is looking for a Leader for its Retiree Health Care Sub-Practice within the Health Solutions practice. As the leader of the sub-practice, you will define our approach to retiree medical consulting with clients and be our primary face to the external community in this space, including both clients and retiree health plans. You will empower results for our clients by delivering innovative and effective solutions through your leadership of the team and your direct involvement with clients. Your retiree medical knowledge will be essential as you work with account teams (or prospective account teams) to craft the strategy and direct execution of strategic direction for clients’ retiree medical and/or drug programs. Aon’s retiree health care consulting business is growing! It is an exciting time to lead the team dedicated to serving our clients and partners in this area. We’re looking for someone who is passionate about client service, is an authority in retiree health care, and has presence with both internal and external audiences. Level for the role is a Senior Vice President. Any Aon office location in the U.S. may be considered, but East Coast is preferable. Our retiree health care consulting work includes both pre-Medicare and Medicare populations, medical and prescription drug, and group and individual market alternatives.Your Impact as a Retiree Health Care LeaderThe retiree health care sub-practice leader is a senior level role that will serve as a strategic business liaison for retiree medical solutions between Aon and its clients. This role will help our clients design and implement retiree medical programs that achieve desired business outcomes. This is accomplished both directly, by collaborating with clients, and indirectly, by encouraging others to do the same. Job Responsibilities:Provides guidance and oversight to the team in the following areas: retiree medical strategy consulting & related analysis, Medicare Advantage requests for proposals and renewals, and individual market analyses.Is responsible for Aon’s retiree medical financial models & tools.Works with other leaders to ensure appropriate guidelines are established for health and retirement actuaries working on Other Post Employment Benefit (OPEB) valuations.Leads our retiree client survey and develops our strategy for retiree health care.Acts as the primary point of contact to health care vendors.Works with a revolving portfolio of accounts, leading retiree medical strategy discussions and related projects.Serves as a consultant presence and interacts with appropriate roles for the client, including HR, finance and other C-suite and leadership roles.Coordinates with account executives when appropriate in response to proposals for related projects.Crafts and positions innovative solutions to meet client/prospect business problems and uses firm resources appropriately to navigate successful new business opportunities.Uses Aon team leaders to provide a high level of consistent and responsive service.Communicates the full value delivered by Aon on current and potential solutions.You Bring Knowledge and ExpertiseRequired Experience:12 years of related proven experience, with 8 years in retiree medical spaceBroad content knowledge in retiree consulting exchange mechanics including group Medicare Advantage, prescription drug EGWP programs, and individual-market offeringsDemonstrates strong consultancy, presentation and sales process skillsDemonstrates confidence and personal impact with internal and external clientsEducation:Bachelor’s degreeMaster’s degree of Business a plusFSA or ASA a plusWe offer youA competitive total rewards package, continuing education & training, and tremendous potential with a growing worldwide organization.Our Colleague Experience:From helping clients gain access to capital after natural disasters, to creating access to health care and retirement for millions, Aon colleagues empower results for our clients, communities, and each other every day.
