We have an opportunity to join the Alliance as a Behavioral Health Manager, in the Behavioral Health Department.
There is one position available which can be filled in any of our three office (Scotts Valley, Salinas or Merced).
WHAT YOU'LL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR
Managing day-to-day operational issues related to Behavioral Health (BH) activities and providing related clinical and operational guidance in alignment with Medi-Cal, Knox-Keene, and other
regulatory and accreditation standards
Providing consultation as needed for health services departments regarding members with BH needs with the goal of promoting optimal, achievable outcomes in the most cost effective and appropriate manner
Overseeing coordination of behavioral health services between the Alliance, the delegated Managed Behavioral Health Organization (MBHO), and County BH departments
Providing programmatic support to Behavioral Health Director

Knowledge of:
The principles and practices of clinical research and assessment
The array of mental health and substance use disorder services
The principles and practices of managed care, utilization management and/or case management
Relevant healthcare regulatory and accreditation requirements, such as Medi-Cal, Knox-Keene and NCQA
Ability to:
Audit, analyze and assess medical records and other health care data
Utilize evidence-based practice guidelines in the evaluation and management of vendor performance for utilization management, care management and transitional care activities
Develop and implement projects, systems, programs, policies and procedures
Act as a technical resource and explain regulations, processes, and programs related to area of assignment
Provide leadership and facilitate meetings
Foster effective and collaborative working relationships, influence others, and build consensus with individuals at all levels in the organization
Education and Experience:
Current and unrestricted license as a Registered Nurse, Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Marriage and Family Therapist, Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor, or Psychologist issued
by the State of California
Eight years of behavioral health clinical experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience may be qualifying.
OTHER DETAILS
While this position is connected to one of our Alliance offices, we are in hybrid remote/in-office work environment right now and we anticipate that the interview process will take place remotely.
Our Alliance office locations have officially re-opened as of May 2, 2022 and while some employees may work in full-time telecommute schedules, attendance at quarterly company-wide events or department meetings will be expected.
Based on the nature of work, this position may require onsite presence, which is dependent on business need. Details about this can be reviewed during the interview process.
COVID-19 Vaccine Requirement:
This position requires staff to be fully vaccinated and boosted upon their start date as a condition of employment. Proof of vaccination must be submitted at time of hire. Fully vaccinated and boosted is defined as receipt of the second dose in a 2-dose series (Pfizer & Moderna vaccines) OR receipt of a single-dose vaccine (Johnson & Johnson); AND receipt of the booster (if eligible); AND a 2-week period having passed since the administration of the last vaccine dose.
The full compensation range for this position is listed by location below.
The actual compensation for this role will be determined by our compensation philosophy, analysis of the selected candidate's qualifications (direct or transferrable experience related to the position, education or training), as well as other factors (internal equity, market factors, and geographic location).
Salinas pay range
$105,364
$168,584 USD
Merced pay range
$96,096
$153,774 USD
Scotts Valley pay range
$105,364
$168,584 USD
Additionally, all positions at the Alliance are required to meet these minimum qualifications.
