ECGs
One of the cardiology equipment that cardiologists are required to work with in the field is the ECG. This machinery is used to record the heart beat with electrical impulses from the heart. This is mainly used to find out if there are any abnormal heartbeats within the patient, also known as arrhythmia.
Ultrasound Equipment
The ultrasound equipment is used for examining the heart and to observe the fetus within a woman's womb. The latter is the primary use of the ultrasound equipment.
Defibrillators
This machine is used for patients that are suffering from a heart attack. It provides electrical energy that is sent to the heart to help jump start it again to a regular beat.
Treadmills
As a cardiologist, you will have to provide stress tests for the patients heart rate. This helps the cardiologist to detect arrhythmia or any other heart beat abnormalities. With treadmills, the cardiologist is able to put enough stress on the patient to check for this.
Ventilators
When patients are unable to breathe during and after having a heart attack, a ventilator is used. They are most effective with patients that have breathing problems due to a heart attack.
