Thoracic Surgeons
This is a form of board certified doctors. A thoracic surgeon is a doctor in the medical field that must complete 5 years at a post-graduate residency. In this industry, the surgeon gives surgeries and operations to help with patient care. Some of the organs they deal with include heart, lungs and esophagus. They help to treat patients with ailments like lung cancer, which would require a lung transplant or operation. The ABTS, or American Board of Thoracic Surgery, is an organization that gives the guidelines for this industry of doctors.
