Education
If you would like to get into this field, you will need to obtain the required training based on the facility you will be working at. Some require you to have a two year or four year degree in and at least one year of working experience within a health care facility. You are also required to have good communication skills and have knowledge of the medical field. Being able to handle business negotiations is also necessary. Degrees in the field of human resources, communications, business or medical administration is helpful.
Daily Duties
As a physician recruiter, you will have to do cold calling and networking with recruiting agencies, attend trade shows, arrange recruit travels, creating itineraries for potential recruits and entertaining physicians, among other duties.
Special Tasks
Other tasks that a physician recruiter may have to do include renewing work visas, ensuring physician contentment with issues and policies, and making arrangements for leaves of absence. Being in charge of keeping records for licenses and locum tenens or temp recruitment of physicians may also be required.
Places to Work
The places you can work in the physician recording field include clinics, medical facilities or systems or outside agencies. Some even work as a freelance recruiter or for an executive search company. It is expected that as the medical field grows there will be positions available in living or home health companies.

The average annual salary for physician recruiters is about $67,436 and can be anywhere between $55,000 and $75,000 annually - all depending on the training and experience level.
