In this procedure, you will have to group together the medical codes that have been assigned and submit them into insurance claims forms and submit them to the insurer, so that the physician can get reimbursement.

As a medical assistant, there may be some instances where you will have to perform coding and billing procedures. You will have to use medical software or coding books to ensure that you properly assign the codes for procedures and diagnoses. Then the form is submitted to insurance companies.
