Responsibilities
As a renal dialysis technician, you will re responsible for setting up the machines, initiating and terminating dialysis treatments, monitoring patients by taking their vital signs and reading the machines for records. You will also have to maintain and monitor the equipment.

In the field of renal dialysis, you can make between $26,098 and $38,630 annually. It all depends on where you live, who you're employed by and the amount of working experience you have.
Education
To become a renal dialysis tech, you will have to obtain a high school diploma. From there, you can attend a community college to obtain an associate's degree in the field of renal dialysis technology. Once you graduate and gain employment somewhere, you will receive on-the-job training. Most states require you to also obtain a certificate and continue education in the field to ensure that you have continued competency.
Considerations
To work in this field, you will have to be able to stand for long periods of time, bend and lift supplies (and sometimes patients). It is a part of the job description to be able to withstand the physically demanding daily tasks of this position.
