A standardized measurement of professional healthcare websites to be launched
Nielsen’s PERQ/HCI and Nielsen//NetRatings services will come together to offer syndicated measurement of professional healthcare websites in order to assist agencies planning online health campaigns. The new service will help agencies in gauging the traffic on different healthcare sites – that is, how often the professionals visit a particular site and for how long. The collaboration of Nielsen//NetRatings methodologies with search results will be provided over the internet via the Nielsen//NetRatings Market Intelligence service, a browser-based measurement tool that provides information on the market gathered from tagged sites. PERQ/HCI’s healthcare expertise will usher in a completely new standard for gauging healthcare professionals’ activities on the internet. Commenting on the new development, Kathleen Henderson, general manager of PERQ/HCI said, “The syndicated service will establish a common currency for website activity within the professional healthcare market.”
