Where many healthcare professionals leave off, Jackie Keller goes above and beyond. She is the quintessential health and wellness expert. As founding director of NutriFit, LLC, Jackie utilizes her extensive background in nutrition, culinary arts, and fitness to help clients turn healthy habits into healthy lifestyles.
Jackie has also authored several books, including Body after Baby, a book dedicated to helping new mothers adapt nutrition and fitness into their lives. She is also the author of Cooking, Eating & Living Well, a cookbook and guide to nutrition-related lifestyle changes.
Jackie's drive to help other's improve their overall health is that of a personal nature. When she was just a teenager, she lost her father to a heart attack.
"...I want to prevent others from [going through] the same experience," explains Keller. "I have a personal commitment to help people circumvent heart disease and other chronic ailments."
With a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Southern California; culinary training from Le Cordon Bleu in Paris, France; certification in professional fitness instruction from UCLA Extension; and a license to be a wellness coach through Wellcoaches, Jackie understands all of the many aspects that are involved with becoming truly healthy and fit.
Dedicated to educating others on the importance of a healthy lifestyle, Jackie has been featured as an expert on shows such as The Other Half, Today Show, Early Show, Extra, Biggest Loser, and Access Hollywood, to name a few. She has also conducted more than 1,500 health education classes nationwide.
"I discovered how rewarding it is to improve someone's quality of life through better eating and exercise," Jackie says.
For her commitment and hard work in the healthcare industry, Jackie has received several awards, including the Outstanding Person in Cancer Control award from the American Cancer Society and the Branch Chair award from the American Heart Association. She currently serves as chairperson of the board of the Valley Wellness Association and is a member of the California Health Promotion Collaborative.
It is likely that you will continue to hear of Jackie, NutriFit, and her extensive work in the healthcare industry for years to come. Says Jackie, "I am completely dedicated to health and hope to live to be an active 120 year old."
Q. Where do you foresee the field of healthcare in 10 years?
A. I think there will be significant progress towards universal health care and a greater role for preventative health measures.

A. Games with my family (children).
